Nickel Nickel Dime, Nickel Dime

So last weekend Kelly and I trekked to Blacksburg to visit Kristin and her man Raf. Unfortunately, he had to work Saturday night, so it was just the three of us. After killing some time by watching the olympics, we went to dinner at an Italian place (whose name I forget) which turned out to be pretty good. I was in the mood for Chinese, but got outvoted by the women. So anyway, after dinner we stopped by Cold Stone for some ice cream, then went back to Kristin's for coffee and cake all while playing a rousing game of Scrabble. That's where I came up with a new spelling for European currency, the Yoro. We'll just say it was quite a hoot.

The next morning we all went to Gillies for breakfast. I almost made myself get the Michael Phelps omlet - a five egg concoction with onions, peppers, and cheese. Instead, I went for a breakfast quesadilla. I saw a guy order the MP omlet and what a plate filling mound that was. He couldn't finish it, and he was a bigger boy than me. After we got back to Kristin's, we hung around for a bit then got on the road.

We stopped in Augusta County to have lunch with Mom and Granny, then went over to see Will since he was in for the week (see last post). We got to see what I call my 2nd family, which is always a delight.

Once we returned to Inwood, we performed our usual weekend duties. Monday was our day off, so we decided to sleep in and get some much needed rest. We spent part of the day finishing up what we didn't get done day before, and the rest of the day was just hanging around.

This past week was full of training at work, so nothing exciting there. This week should be somewhat busy, with plenty of work to do and more training coming up.
